About this role

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to build and operate a developer experience platform. You will directly work with Java, JavaScript, Docker, and Kubernetes to improve the engineering system from requirement to production feedback. This role involves directing AI agents and treating developer experience as a product to reduce friction for engineers.

Build and operate developer-facing services, tools, and integrations
Improve developer workflows using profiling, logs, metrics, and traces
Own critical changes from design through code, deployment, and adoption
Map developer journey and identify/resolve high-cost friction
Define and build paved roads for services, APIs, and deployment
Engineer CI/CD workflows and improve build/pipeline performance
