Senior DevOps Engineer

Penn Mutual is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead reliability practices for critical financial systems. You will design, implement, and advance reliability through automation, observability, and architectural guidance. This hands-on role involves development, release management, and incident response, offering significant autonomy to tackle complex problems and influence system design.

• Lead reliability, availability, scalability, and recovery design for critical systems
• Define and evolve SLOs, SLIs, and error budget practices
• Act as a technical lead during major incidents and drive root cause analysis
• Design and implement advanced automation to eliminate operational toil
• Partner with Release and Change Management to automate release practices
• Mentor junior engineers and influence reliability culture across teams
