Principal Platform Engineer (OnSite)

RTX is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and modernize critical defense and aerospace systems. This onsite role in Richardson, TX, involves leveraging expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps to optimize performance, scalability, and security across environments. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor other engineers.

• Design and implement system updates and upgrades with a focus on Linux server administration and Kubernetes development
• Deploy, integrate, and support containerized platforms using Kubernetes and Docker
• Architect, develop, and support build/test pipelines optimized for performance
• Provision platform, storage, and networking resources for on-premises infrastructure
• Collaborate in Technical Exchange Meetings and provide project status updates
• Mentor and assist engineers with tool usage, issue resolution, and best practices
