About this role

Join Johnson Controls as a Data Platform Engineer and help build and operate the data platform powering our OpenBlue smart-building solution. You will develop and manage streaming and lakehouse pipelines using technologies like Kafka, Flink, Spark, and Snowflake, ensuring reliable data delivery to customer-facing applications. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to own features end-to-end, from code to production, and grow your design responsibilities.

What we are looking for

Build and maintain Kafka, Flink, and Spark data pipelines
Deploy and operate data services on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform/Bicep)
Set up monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using Grafana
Support lakehouse operations with Apache Iceberg and Snowflake
3+ years of experience in data engineering or DevOps
