About this role

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior OPIR Ground Platform Engineer to lead teams in developing and operationalizing next-generation, cyber-secure Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) ground capabilities. This role involves defining, acquiring, and implementing state-of-the-art solutions, including commercial cloud, to advance missile warning and tracking systems for national security space missions.

Lead multi-agency, multi-discipline technical and programmatic teams
Define, acquire, and operationalize cyber-secure Next-Generation OPIR ground capabilities
Incorporate cloud-native concepts and solutions into OPIR MWT architecture
Drive cyber resilience and a "cyber secure by default" approach
Influence government and contractor stakeholders on networking capabilities
Mentor junior personnel and develop talent pipeline
