As a Principal Platform Engineer at Abbott, you will lead the design, build, and operation of secure, scalable cloud-native platforms supporting critical digital health, data, and AI/ML solutions. This role offers technical leadership across AWS, Kubernetes, automation, and cybersecurity, with opportunities to establish standards, drive engineering excellence, and mentor teams while remaining hands-on.

What we are looking for

Lead architecture, design, and operation of cloud-native platforms on AWS and Amazon EKS
Define platform standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
Implement GitOps and CI/CD practices for automated delivery
Design secure cloud solutions with modern identity, access control, and secrets management
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple teams
