Senior Camera Systems Engineer

Planet is seeking a Senior Camera Systems Engineer to architect and lead the development of next-generation satellite camera modules. This role involves translating mission imaging goals into hardware specifications, managing vendor relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize camera systems for performance and spacecraft constraints.

• Architect and lead next-generation satellite camera modules
• Translate remote sensing requirements into verifiable specifications
• Manage external image sensor and camera component vendors
• Lead trade studies balancing image quality and spacecraft constraints
• Define and maintain Interface Control Documents for camera systems
• Own end-to-end verification and calibration of camera systems
