Systems Engineer

GDIT is seeking an early-career Systems Engineer to support the CITS contract for USCENTCOM at MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida. This onsite role focuses on enterprise lab infrastructure, integration, patching, and testing within physical and virtual environments. You will perform hardware installations, deploy operating systems, execute test plans, apply security patches, and troubleshoot issues to ensure lab systems are secure and validated.

• Perform physical installation, racking, stacking, cabling, and configuration of servers and network appliances
• Execute software and hardware test plans and validation scripts
• Apply security patches and operating system updates to Windows and Linux environments
• Support virtualization environments using VMware or Hyper-V
• Assist in DISA STIG implementation and vulnerability remediation
• Provide Tier I/II troubleshooting for hardware, OS, and network issues
