Motion Design Lead

Vox Media is seeking a Motion Design Lead to conceptualize and execute industry-leading motion designs for New York Magazine and Vox. This player/coach role requires extensive experience in story-driven digital content and leadership, blending hands-on design with team guidance to elevate our visual voice.

• Lead motion design strategy and execution for branded content across Vox Media properties
• Conceptualize and create motion graphics, VFX, and 3D for video and social content
• Provide creative direction and leadership to freelance motion designers
• Develop and maintain motion design best practices and brand guidelines
• Collaborate with art directors, creative directors, and cross-functional teams
• 8+ years of motion design experience with proven leadership skills
