UX Designer, Octopus

Apex Technology Inc is seeking a UX Designer to create and innovate the user experience for Octopus, their proprietary operating system for building spacecraft at scale. You will research user needs on the factory floor and translate them into intuitive software designs that improve efficiency and reduce errors for technicians, engineers, and operators. This role involves end-to-end ownership of internal enterprise tools, from concept to implementation, and defining design standards.

• Research and define UX strategy for spacecraft manufacturing software
• Design intuitive experiences for factory floor and engineering teams
• Optimize workflows to reduce clicks, screens, and errors
• Develop and own the Octopus design system and UX standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers and leadership
• Ensure high-quality implementation and visual/interaction design
