About this role

Slate, an American electric vehicle company, is seeking a Director of Digital Experience Design to lead the design vision and execution for all customer-facing digital products, including their website, online marketplace, purchasing flow, ownership app, and in-vehicle experience. This leadership role will involve building and scaling a design team, establishing design systems and processes, and partnering closely with product and software teams to create exceptional digital experiences that align with the brand's commitment to affordability and personalization.

What we are looking for

Define and drive design vision for web, mobile, and in-vehicle HMI
Translate brand and product strategy into human-centered design
Lead, coach, and grow a team of UI designers, UX designers, and copywriters
Own and evolve the digital design system for consistency and reusability
Partner with Product and Software leaders on roadmap and technical tradeoffs
Scale UX research practice for data-informed iteration
