Data Scientist II

Axle is seeking a Data Scientist II to join their team supporting the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Rockville, MD. This role focuses on advancing cancer research by building computational infrastructure for omics and clinical data analysis. You will develop and maintain data pipelines, perform multi-omics analysis, integrate data, apply statistical and machine learning methods, and build researcher-facing applications.

• Design, build, and maintain reproducible pipelines for diverse biomedical data types
• Perform multi-omics analysis including bulk RNA-seq and single-cell RNA-seq
• Integrate and manage data lifecycle for analysis-ready formats
• Apply statistical modeling and machine learning to biomedical datasets
• Build interactive dashboards, notebooks, and APIs for researchers
• Collaborate with scientists, bioinformaticians, and stakeholders
