Junior Data Scientist

Black Canyon Consulting is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to support research data analysis and scientific programming for critical illness and infectious diseases. You will leverage your expertise in R or Python, NLP, and machine learning to extract insights from complex health data and collaborate with clinical experts.

• Analyze research data related to critical illness and infectious diseases
• Utilize R or Python for statistical analysis and data manipulation
• Apply NLP techniques including NER, text classification, and information extraction
• Work with LLM prompt engineering, RAG, and fine-tuning for data extraction
• Evaluate AI/ML methods for appropriateness, bias, and validity in clinical research
• Communicate technical findings to clinical and non-technical collaborators
