Principal Data Scientist

Equinor is seeking a Principal Data Scientist in Houston, TX to provide technical leadership on complex AI initiatives. You will drive AI deliveries from concept to implementation, applying machine learning, optimization, and agentic AI to solve business challenges and create value. This role involves coaching colleagues and ensuring the responsible and safe application of AI in operational and business-critical settings.

• Drive complex AI deliveries from problem framing to implemented solution
• Provide professional support for key business issues using AI and optimization
• Manage uncertainty and design for bounded autonomy and human oversight
