Sr. Data Scientist

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Global Analytics & Decision Sciences team within the Finance Organization. This role involves collaborating with various business functions to drive data-driven decision-making, solve complex problems, and shape analytical strategy using advanced modeling techniques. The position requires strong Python, SQL, and cloud platform skills, with a focus on applying machine learning to business challenges.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into solutions
• Provide thought leadership in advanced analytics, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling
• Synthesize insights across multiple business dimensions to drive strategic direction
• Design and develop scalable data solutions using Python, SQL, and cloud technologies
• Apply advanced statistical and quantitative techniques, including ML, to deliver actionable insights
• Lead AI/ML initiatives and establish best practices
