Lead Data Scientist

Total Wine & More is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions that drive business strategy and efficiency. You will own the full lifecycle of ML/AI development, from ideation to production monitoring, and mentor junior team members. This role requires translating business needs into technical solutions and delivering high-impact projects independently.

• Design and architect advanced ML/AI solutions for complex business problems
• Train, optimize, and validate models using sophisticated techniques
• Deploy ML systems into production with CI/CD pipelines and containerization
• Monitor deployed models, manage lifecycle, and implement retraining workflows
• Lead efforts in feature engineering, algorithm selection, and performance evaluation
• Mentor junior data scientists and provide thought leadership on AI/ML applications
