Lead Data Scientist - Advanced AI (Applied ML, Agentic, Gen AI)

Target is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join their Advanced AI team. You will design, develop, and scale AI/ML systems, including those powered by LLMs and agentic architectures, to create business value across the enterprise. This role involves hands-on leadership, problem framing, and collaboration with engineering and product teams to deliver production-grade AI/ML solutions.

• Lead design, development, and scaling of AI/ML capabilities
• Work with LLMs, classical ML, deep learning, and agentic systems
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders
• Ensure AI/ML solutions are reliable, measurable, and maintainable
• Mentor other Data Scientists and shape technical approaches
