(USA) Senior, Data Scientist

As a Senior Data Scientist on the Retail AI Foundations team, you will develop and deploy cutting-edge Generative AI and machine learning models to enhance customer and business experiences across Walmart. You'll apply rigorous scientific methods to create scalable AI solutions, working closely with product and engineering teams to bring innovative AI capabilities to life.

• Build, evaluate, and deploy ML and Generative AI models (LLMs, image/video generation, multimodal)
• Develop data and evaluation strategies, including dataset curation and error analysis
• Design and execute model experiments, benchmarking, and A/B tests
• Apply optimization techniques for production model performance
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into AI solutions
• Communicate technical findings and mentor junior team members
