PRINCIPAL, DATA SCIENTIST

As a Principal Data Scientist on the Merchandising Data Science team, you will own and solve complex, end-to-end problems that drive critical business decisions in areas like item curation, inventory management, and pricing. You will translate rough business questions into precise formulations, design and build production systems, and ensure their continuous improvement, ultimately raising the standards and judgment of those around you.

• Own a hard, well-defined problem end-to-end from business question to production system
• Design automated decision engines or decision support systems
• Implement solutions using optimization, ML, forecasting, or causal inference
• Build production systems integrating with merchandising and planning platforms
• Establish patterns, methods, and quality standards for others to adopt
• Define metrics and run experiments to prove system effectiveness
