Data Scientist

Simpson Thacher is seeking a Data Scientist to leverage statistics, machine learning, and NLP to extract insights from complex data. This role will drive the firm's AI initiatives, working on advanced projects within the legal industry and collaborating with legal and business professionals.

• Apply statistical, ML, and NLP methods to structured and unstructured data
• Develop and deploy regression, classification, and deep learning models
• Fine-tune and deploy language models for NLP tasks like summarization and Q&A
• Design and implement document segmentation and embedding approaches
• Create visual reports and UIs to communicate insights to non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with legal teams and functional departments to drive data-informed decisions
