Sr Applied Data Scientist - Search and Browse (applied ML, LLMs, ML Ops)

Join Target's Applied Data Sciences team as a Sr. Data Scientist focused on Search and Browse. You will develop and deploy cutting-edge ML models and systems to enhance product discovery, semantic search, and personalization across our digital platforms. • Develop and deploy ML models for search ranking, browse personalization, and semantic retrieval
• Design and execute experiments to improve relevance, engagement, and conversion
• Apply modern ML techniques including embeddings, transformers, NLP, vector search, and GenAI/RAG
• Build scalable feature pipelines and ML workflows for production systems
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to align technical solutions with business goals
• Improve query understanding and long-tail search relevance across large retail catalogs
