Senior Data Scientist (NLP & Applied AI)

Wiley is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build and own NLP pipelines that extract intelligence from millions of scientific articles. This hands-on role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating NLP and LLM-based approaches to process scientific text at scale, contributing to agentic AI applications, and collaborating with product teams.

• Design and build NLP enrichment pipelines for scientific full-text
• Compare and select NLP vs. LLM approaches for extraction and enrichment
• Own model evaluation, including golden sets and metric selection
• Contribute to agentic AI applications using enriched corpus
• Collaborate with editors, product managers, and engineers
• Write production Python code and manage models in production
