Lead Data Scientist, Newsroom Analytics

Dow Jones is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive the newsroom's audience-data strategy at The Wall Street Journal. You will work with editorial and audience leaders to identify high-impact analytical opportunities, design and build predictive models, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. This role involves owning core metrics, applying causal inference, and mentoring junior team members.

• Partner with digital strategy, coverage, and product teams to define data science roadmap
• Design and build predictive and explanatory models end-to-end
• Translate quantitative findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders
• Own core metrics and measurement systems for newsroom teams
• Apply rigorous statistical thinking to measure editorial and audience impact
• Mentor and develop junior data team members, establishing analytical standards
