About this role
Join GDIT's Data Engineering Team as a Data Science Analyst/Engineer to integrate new Data Stores and build a Metadata Application Profile (MAP) for a Search & Retrieval System. This role focuses on metadata maintenance, quality assessment, and enhancement to enable data discovery across the Enterprise and Intelligence Community.
What we are looking for
6- Integrate new Data Stores and build Metadata Application Profile (MAP)
- Assess and enhance metadata quality for data discovery
- Support Systems Engineers and Software Developers with design documents
- Maintain relationships with government data stewards and system owners
- Respond to tickets for metadata discrepancies or mapping issues
- 5+ years of experience with data management, metadata standards, and search tools
