Senior Data Scientist – Applied AI

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Applied AI team. You will design and execute experiments to evaluate and improve AI systems, build scalable evaluation frameworks, and analyze large-scale data to identify areas for improvement. This role involves developing statistical models, optimizing prompts, and fine-tuning foundation models to solve complex real-world problems.

• Design and execute experiments for LLMs, voice/text AI, and agents
• Build scalable evaluation datasets, benchmarks, and frameworks
• Analyze product and model telemetry to identify failure modes
• Develop statistical models and experimentation frameworks
• Optimize prompts, system instructions, and retrieval strategies
• Fine-tune foundation models for enterprise readiness
