Quantitative Methods Research Scientist

The Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence & Security (ARLIS) at the University of Maryland seeks a Quantitative Methods Research Scientist to support government-sponsored projects in areas like AI/ML, decision support, and NLP. You will contribute to research, prototyping, and experimentation, addressing critical national security challenges. This role requires a strong background in quantitative social science research methods and statistical analysis.

• Doctoral degree or Master's with 5 years of research experience
• Proficiency in quantitative social science research methods and statistical analyses
• Experience with statistical analysis programs (e.g., Matlab, R)
• Skill in research design and scholarly production
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Requires a Secret security clearance.
