Bioinformatics Scientist

Tempus is seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist to join their Liquid Biopsy Science team. This role focuses on developing and validating next-generation liquid biopsy assays and algorithms for applications like diagnostics and therapeutic selection. You will work with real-world evidence and AI to provide actionable insights for physicians.

• Develop novel assays, algorithms, and machine learning models for NGS data analysis
• Estimate and model cell-free circulating tumor DNA fraction
• Improve noise suppression and error correction strategies for biomarker detection
• Design and integrate machine learning classifiers for Clonal Hematopoiesis disambiguation
• Evaluate assay analytical performance for regulatory submissions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including assay development, clinical science, and software engineering
