Senior Applied Scientist II, Ads Optimization

Instacart is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist II to lead algorithmic development for their ads optimization team. This role focuses on designing and implementing systems for bidding, pacing, budgeting, and targeting to maximize advertiser value. You will be responsible for the end-to-end research-to-production lifecycle of these complex optimization systems.

• Lead algorithmic direction for ads optimization systems
• Design real-time bid optimization and budget pacing algorithms
• Develop analytical frameworks for bidding, pacing, and budgeting
• Shape auction mechanics and mechanism design
• Own research-to-production loop from data analysis to impact measurement
• Translate mathematical formulations into production code at scale
