Sr. Data Analyst

The University of Rochester is seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst II to support research projects by analyzing high-throughput sequencing data. This role involves organizing staff, overseeing project progress, ensuring data quality, and assisting researchers from data generation to publication. You will develop workflows for cloud processing and integrate disparate datasets.

• Analyze high-throughput sequencing data, including single-cell and spatial RNA-seq
• Develop and deploy workflows within cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
• Participate in experimental design and analysis of sequencing projects
• Provide technical training and consultation to bioinformatics teams and research groups
• Manage storage and maintenance of raw data sets
• Experience with Python, Java, C++, and cloud platforms required
