Sr. Bioinformatics Scientist

Veracyte is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join their Bioinformatics and Data Science Team. This role focuses on developing regulated diagnostics products, requiring expertise in NGS technologies, regulatory environments (CAP/CLIA, IVD), and assay optimization. The scientist will lead bioinformatics design, development, and validation efforts, develop statistical and machine learning techniques, and create scalable workflows using AWS and Python.

• Lead bioinformatics design, development, and validation for regulated diagnostics products
• Develop and optimize genomic assays using NGS technologies
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques for assay performance evaluation
• Develop scalable, production-grade workflows using AWS and Python
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CAP/CLIA, FDA, IVDR)
• Provide scientific guidance and mentorship to junior team members
