AI Data Scientist

USAA is seeking an experienced AI Data Scientist to join their innovative Data Science team. You will leverage structured and unstructured data, traditional operations research, and cutting-edge generative AI and LLMs to tackle business targets and provide impactful solutions for members. This role involves collaborating with other data scientists, improving tooling, and validating models before production deployment.

• Gather, interpret, and manipulate structured and unstructured data
• Develop scalable, automated solutions using machine learning, simulation, and optimization
• Select appropriate modeling techniques and technologies
• Develop and deploy models within the Model Development Control (MDC) and Model Risk Management (MRM) framework
• Compose technical documents for knowledge persistence, risk management, and technical review
• Translate business requests into analytical questions and communicate outcomes to non-technical colleagues
