Applied Data Scientist, AI Data Platforms

Groundswell is seeking a Data Scientist to build and operate an AI-assisted platform for understanding and governing complex enterprise data. You will work with a small team to prepare this platform for mission use, focusing on data preparation, knowledge management, AI evaluation, and analysis to ensure accurate and trusted outputs for mission stakeholders.

• Translate mission data questions into clear objectives and evaluation criteria
• Profile, clean, and characterize complex multi-source enterprise data
• Build and maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and reference vocabularies
• Configure and tune AI-assisted capabilities for data matching and classification
• Evaluate AI agents and language-model workflows for accuracy and consistency
• Partner with engineers to move validated improvements into production
