Data Scientist

Applied Materials is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team in Santa Clara, CA. This role involves designing and developing methods to analyze diverse big data sources, performing statistical analysis, and building analytical models and algorithms. You will work with internal customers to understand requirements and support product development through sophisticated data analytics.

• Design and develop methods to consolidate and analyze diverse big data sources
• Perform statistical and data-mining analysis using tools like R, SAS, and MATLAB
• Interface with internal customers for requirements analysis
• Develop analytical models, algorithms, and automated processes using SQL and Python
• Apply sophisticated data analytics to support product development for manufacturing and process information
• Requires expertise in Python and SQL
