Clinical Research Coordinator - Pain Management, Emergency Medicine

Albany Med is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support pain management initiatives in the Emergency Department. This role involves screening patients with painful conditions, administering non-pharmacological therapies, educating patients on alternatives to opioids, and participating in clinical research activities. The coordinator will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to reduce opioid exposure and improve patient-centered pain management.

• Screen patients for non-pharmacological pain management interventions
• Administer non-pharmacological therapies like music and mindfulness
• Educate patients on pain management alternatives to opioids
• Identify patients at risk for Opioid Use Disorder and facilitate referrals
• Participate in clinical research activities including recruitment and data collection
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
