Sr. Data Scientist- Operations Research

Total Wine & More is seeking a Senior Data Scientist specializing in Operations Research to join their Data Services team in Bethesda, MD. This role will lead the design and deployment of optimization and decision science solutions to improve business outcomes across the company, focusing on complex mathematical problems for strategic and operational decisions.

• Lead design and deployment of optimization and decision science solutions
• Solve complex, large-scale mathematical problems for pricing, inventory, and supply chain
• Formulate decision problems as mathematical optimization models (LP, MILP, MINLP)
• Design and implement large-scale optimization models using solvers like Gurobi
• Develop end-to-end decision systems and integrate optimization outputs into production workflows
• Build and maintain data pipelines for large-scale modeling workflows
