Data Scientist - Product Safety Data Analytics

General Motors is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Product Safety Data Analytics team. This role focuses on hazard monitoring and involves developing and improving analytical solutions to identify, monitor, and analyze potential vehicle safety issues. You will collaborate with business partners, analyze complex data sets, and automate workflows to strengthen safety investigations and hazard monitoring capabilities.

• Develop and standardize best practices for continuous monitoring of emerging safety issues
• Strengthen data-analytics support for safety investigations
• Analyze signals, patterns, and trends in large data sets to identify potential safety issues
• Support anomaly detection, diagnostics, and root cause analysis for safety topics
• Design, build, and maintain repeatable analytical workflows using Python, SQL/Spark, and Databricks
• Identify and implement automation opportunities
