Staff Scientist - Real World Evidence and Data Science

Abbott is seeking a Staff Scientist to lead real-world evidence (RWE) studies for their Medical Device Division. This role involves designing and executing observational studies using large-scale healthcare data to support regulatory, reimbursement, and market development efforts. The scientist will collaborate with internal and external experts, utilizing data science techniques like machine learning to derive actionable insights.

• Lead RWE strategy and execution for the Abbott Vascular portfolio
• Design and conduct observational studies using EHR, claims, and device data
• Apply machine learning and predictive modeling to healthcare data
• Program RWE studies using SQL, Python, R, or SAS
• Develop study protocols, reports, and scientific publications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external key opinion leaders
