About this role
Zillow is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead measurement and impact analysis for its foundational platforms. You will define key metrics, build rigorous evaluation frameworks for LLM-based systems, and quantify the causal impact of platform initiatives. This high-leverage role will set the measurement standard across Zillow and directly influence executive-level strategy.

- Define and operationalize measurement strategy for core platforms
- Own evaluation of LLM-based and agentic systems
- Design and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experimental causal inference
- Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks, including LLM-as-a-judge
- Translate complex measurement realities into clear executive narratives
- Partner with engineering to instrument metrics and ensure data trust
