Principal Security Engineer

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to act as a trusted advisor for developers, integrating security into the development lifecycle. This role focuses on enabling developers through coaching, guidance, and creating accessible security practices, threat modeling collateral, and learning programs. The goal is to drive security excellence at scale by embedding security naturally into workflows.

• Provide hands-on support and coaching to developers on security integration
• Create scalable, developer-friendly threat modeling blueprints and templates
• Implement and evolve threat modeling methodologies and review practices
• Design and deliver learning programs for engineers and architects
• Partner with development teams to embed security into workflows
• Senior security practitioner with deep threat modeling and secure design experience
