Principal Incident Response Security Engineer

Empower is seeking a Principal Incident Response Security Engineer to lead cybersecurity incident response efforts, from detection to post-incident review. This technical role involves developing and optimizing response playbooks, overseeing threat monitoring, and advancing detection capabilities using advanced tools and automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor analysts, and communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Lead major cybersecurity incidents from detection through recovery
• Serve as the top escalation point for high-severity incidents
• Develop, maintain, and optimize incident response playbooks
• Advance detection capabilities using EDR, SIEM, and behavioral analytics
• Design and implement automation frameworks using Python, AWS Lambda
• Integrate AI/ML models into security monitoring and response processes
