Sr. Principal Engineer Software - Security & Detections

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer to join their Security & Detections team. You will analyze complex attack patterns and develop deterministic signatures to enhance defense mechanisms. This role involves owning the end-to-end detection lifecycle, from rule creation to tuning, and collaborating with threat research and ML teams.

• Analyze multi-stage attack behavior sequences and transform into signatures
• Develop and maintain high-performance signatures for inline engines
• Own the entire signature lifecycle from research to deployment
• Drive continuous False Positive (FP) tuning and validation
• Integrate behavioral signatures with automated deep learning classifiers
• Requires BS/MS in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience
