Technical Staff Engineer - Information Security Systems

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Technical Staff Engineer specializing in Information Security Systems for their Government Systems group in Boulder, CO. This role involves designing, implementing, and sustaining cybersecurity capabilities for complex enterprise and mission systems, ensuring compliance with various government standards. The position requires extensive experience in Linux/Windows server and endpoint support, network device troubleshooting, and the use of security compliance tools.

• Implement and sustain continuous monitoring for security controls
• Conduct technical security assessments using Tenable, DISA STIGs, and NIST guidelines
• Engineer and integrate security controls into system and network architectures
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for Linux/Windows servers, endpoints, Cisco switches, and enterprise storage
• Requires active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly and US citizenship
• 10+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with NIST RMF expertise
