Security Operations Engineer

United Rentals is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to join their Security Operations Center (SOC) in Charlotte, NC. This senior technical role involves leading incident response for critical and complex security events, conducting proactive threat hunting, and enhancing the organization's detection and response capabilities. You will act as an escalation point for other technicians, perform advanced forensic analysis, and communicate findings to leadership.

• Lead incident response for critical and complex security events
• Perform proactive threat hunting and deep-dive analysis of advanced threats
• Engineer improvements to detection and response capabilities
• Act as an escalation point for SecOps Technicians
• Coordinate containment and recovery actions across teams
• Maintain and optimize SIEM detection rules and SOAR playbooks
