Principal Security Engineer

Remitly is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to lead technical direction and build agentic security platforms. This high-impact individual contributor role involves hands-on coding, mentoring, and advising leaders to enhance security and privacy across the organization, particularly with AI integration.

• Set and demonstrate technical direction for security and privacy initiatives
• Design and build agentic platforms and tooling for security and privacy teams
• Develop and mentor engineers to adopt AI and emerging technologies
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to engineering leaders and executives
• Ship production features and controls rapidly, automating manual processes
• Balance security investments with business innovation and risk decisions
