Senior Principal Engineer - Security & Detections

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to develop and maintain high-performance security signatures and detection mechanisms. You will analyze complex attack behaviors, translate them into deterministic signatures, and own the end-to-end detection lifecycle, including false positive tuning and integration with machine learning models.

• Analyze multi-stage attack behavior sequences and translate into deterministic signatures
• Develop and maintain high-performance signatures for inline engines
• Own the entire signature lifecycle from research to deployment and deprecation
• Drive continuous False Positive (FP) tuning and validation
• Integrate behavioral signatures with automated deep learning classifiers
• Experience with Python, Regex, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and detection-as-code
