Lead Security Engineer

Bonterra is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join their remote engineering team. This role focuses on partnering with development teams to remediate vulnerabilities, build security ownership, and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines. You will also develop and operate AI agents and workflows to automate security tasks and scale remediation efforts across the product portfolio.

• Build, extend, and operate AI-powered agents and workflows for vulnerability remediation
• Drive vulnerabilities to closure by working directly with development teams
• Act as a security champion embedded across engineering organizations
• Integrate security validation into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows
• Triage and prioritize findings from SAST, SCA, and IaC scanners
• Support SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and other audits
