Secure System Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

RTX is seeking a Secure System Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Embedded Product Cybersecurity Engineering team. You will contribute to developing cyber-resilient systems by supporting design and implementation teams, and by developing tools and testing techniques to identify security vulnerabilities. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry, working on complex problems and advancing your cybersecurity skills.

• Assist with developing and executing fuzzing and penetration tests
• Develop threat models and data flow diagrams
• Implement mandatory access controls (MAC) through SELinux policies
• Participate in code reviews to identify security weaknesses
• Conduct vulnerability assessments on systems
• Develop and improve tools and scripts for cybersecurity workflows

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
