Data Security Engineer

As a Security Data Automation Engineer at Verizon, you will architect and build resilient, security-by-design data pipelines that enhance threat detection and response. You will develop sophisticated Python models and leverage automation tools like Ansible to protect the entire data lifecycle, ensuring a secure and efficient ecosystem.

• Architect and maintain scalable, security-first data pipelines and ETL processes using Python
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and hardening of data environments with Ansible
• Develop Python-based models for anomaly detection and threat intelligence
• Identify and eliminate manual bottlenecks through custom scripting and CI/CD integration
• Perform intelligence-driven testing and adversary emulation exercises
• Four or more years of relevant experience with scripting and programming (Python or Powershell)
