About this role

Tempus is seeking an Application Security Engineer to embed security into our software development lifecycle, from design to release. You will assess applications and APIs through penetration testing, with a focus on securing AI and LLM-enabled systems that handle sensitive clinical and genomic data. This role involves partnering with product and engineering teams to build security into our platform and prevent vulnerabilities.

What we are looking for

Embed security into the SDLC through threat modeling, design reviews, and code reviews
Conduct application security assessments and penetration tests of web applications and APIs
Threat model and assess AI and LLM-enabled features
Integrate and tune SAST, DAST, and SCA tools into CI/CD pipelines
Build automation and secure-by-default patterns
Reproduce, triage, and prioritize application security vulnerabilities
