Cyber Security Engineer (5462)

SMX is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to provide security engineering, compliance, and risk management support for cloud-based systems. This remote role will advise partners and customers on government security requirements, focusing on improving compliance efficiency through automation and GRC platforms. The engineer will collaborate with teams to implement and validate security controls in AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.

• Provide cybersecurity engineering and compliance support for FedRAMP and DoD-authorized cloud environments
• Advise partners and customers on federal and DoD security requirements
• Develop, review, and maintain authorization documentation
• Leverage GRC platforms, APIs, scripts, and automation to streamline compliance workflows
• Collaborate with cloud engineering and DevOps teams to design and implement security controls
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain Secret or higher security clearance
